BRINGING THE BRAND TO LIFE IN A MAJOR TRADE SHOW ENVIRONMENT
I led the creative planning and development of a 30-foot branded trade show booth for a major industry event in Las Vegas, translating the company's brand identity into a large-scale physical environment designed to attract visitors and support the sales team. The project combined creative direction, event planning, brand execution, 3D visualization and team coordination, requiring the booth to function as both a highly visible brand presence and a practical space for engaging prospective customers.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Major trade shows provided an important opportunity to put the brand directly in front of customers, industry professionals and prospective buyers. The challenge was to create a booth that would stand out within a busy exhibition environment while remaining practical for product displays, customer conversations and sales activity. The booth needed to communicate the company's brand clearly and consistently while creating an environment that encouraged visitors to stop and engage.
THE CREATIVE STRATEGY
Rather than relying on a single campaign message, the strategy focused on creating a strong and recognizable physical expression of the brand. Every aspect of the booth was considered as part of the overall visitor experience, including:
• Booth layout
• Brand graphics
• Product placement
• Visitor flow
• Visual hierarchy
• Sales areas
• Display elements

The goal was to ensure that visitors could immediately recognize the brand and understand the products being presented.
3D BOOTH VISUALIZATION
Using SketchUp, I developed a full-scale 3D visualization of the 30-foot booth before production. Creating the booth digitally allowed the team to visualize the physical environment and evaluate the layout before committing to fabrication. The 3D model helped communicate:
• The overall booth footprint
• Product positioning
• Brand placement
• Graphic elements
• Visitor flow
• Spatial relationships

This allowed potential issues to be identified during the planning stage and provided a clear visual reference for everyone involved in the project.
BRAND EXPERIENCE
The booth was designed as an extension of the company's wider brand identity. Rather than treating the trade show as simply a place to display products, the objective was to create a consistent physical environment where customers could experience the brand alongside the product range. The visual direction ensured that the graphics, products and physical environment worked together to create a recognizable and professional presence on the show floor.
TEAM & EVENT COORDINATION
The project required coordination across multiple people and disciplines. I worked through the creative and planning requirements while coordinating the elements needed to bring the booth from concept into a physical environment. This included managing the relationship between creative requirements, product displays, production considerations and the needs of the sales team.
SUPPORTING SALES ACTIVITY
While the primary focus was brand presence and customer engagement, the trade show also supported the company's broader sales efforts. The booth created a dedicated environment for sales representatives to meet prospective customers, discuss products and collect leads during the event. Lead information was recorded by the sales team and used to support follow-up activity after the show.
